Use
MUSED earplugs are reusable hearing protectors intended to protect against hazardous noise levels. Ensure the earplugs are fitted, adjusted and maintained according to these instructions. Inspect regularly for wear or damage.
Warnings
Use according to these instructions to achieve correct attenuation. Improper fitting may reduce protection. Do not insert too deeply into the ear canal. Remove slowly to avoid eardrum damage. Wear continuously in noisy environments. Discontinue use in case of pain or irritation. Failure to follow recommendations will severely impair protection. Not suitable for children under 3 years – small parts.
Finding the right size
Size S is pre-installed as standard. Additional ear tip sizes XS, M and L are included. The size of the silicone ear tip (XS, S, M, L) is marked on the stem inside the tip. Choose the size that seals the ear canal comfortably and fully. If the earplug feels loose or attenuation is insufficient, select a larger size. If discomfort occurs, select a smaller size. Once the correct size provides a proper seal and comfort, no further size changes are necessary.
Nominal earplug diameter ranges:
- XS: 8 – 9 mm
- S: 8 – 10 mm
- M: 8 – 11 mm
- L: 9 – 12 mm
Replacing ear tips
When removing the silicone ear tip to check or change size, do not pull excessively. The acoustic filter is removable but firmly secured. Pulling too hard may loosen or remove the filter. Always ensure the filter remains securely seated before use. After placing the silicone ear tip back, make sure the silicone extends approximately 1–1.5 mm above the filter. This ensures correct positioning and sealing height. If the filter becomes loose or detached, do not use the product and contact the manufacturer.
Filter handling
Avoid touching the filter directly. Do not attempt to modify or disassemble the filter. Do not immerse the filter in water. Ensure the filter is firmly pressed into place before each use.
Cleaning and care
Clean after each use with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or aggressive cleaning agents. If exposed to hairspray, sunscreen or other cosmetic or spray-applied products, clean immediately. Prolonged contact may affect material and performance. This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances.
Storage
Store in a dry, clean environment at moderate temperatures. Avoid extreme heat or cold. Store in the provided packaging to prevent damage.
Lifetime and service
Maximum service life is 4 years from manufacturing date. See sticker on the bottom of the packaging. Lifespan depends on frequency of use and maintenance. Regular cleaning extends durability. The stated lifespan is an estimate and depends on usage and external factors beyond control. It should not be interpreted as a warranty.

SNR is based on continuous noise and may not accurately reflect protection against impulsive noise.
